Man (42) charged over death of 20-year-old in Naas

The incident occurred at Harbour View in Naas

A MAN IN his forties has been charged over the death of a young man aged 20.

The man died during an altercation in the Harbour View area of Naas at 10.20pm Friday night.

Gardaí said that a number of youths became involved in an altercation with another man.

The 20-year-old received head injuries and was unconscious when gardaí arrived. He was taken to Naas Hospital, but pronounced dead a short time later.

A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene. This evening, gardaí charged the man in connection with their investigation into the death of the 20 year old.

The accused appeared before a special sitting of Naas District Court this evening at 5pm, where he was remanded in custody.
