Is an action still charitable if you benefit from it?

What do you think?

THIS WEEK FACEBOOK co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has been in the spotlight over a pledge by him and his wife to give away 99% of their shares in the company during their lifetime.

In total, the amount given away by the new Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is expected to come to around $45 billion.

However, critics have said that because the company is structured as a Limited Liability Company there are potential tax benefits involved, something that Zuckerberg has dismissed.

This morning, we’re asking: Is an action still charitable if you benefit from it?

Poll Results:

Yes (5141)
No (1616)
