THE BRITISH SUPREME Court has ruled that a father acted unlawfully when he took his daughter out of school during term-time to go to Disneyworld.

The ruling against Jon Platt means that parents in the UK could be prosecuted if they don’t observe what an individual school rules is “regular” attendance. In this case, the school his daughter attended believed removing her for a family holiday during term time flouted their rules.
