Woman in China avoids prison for ten years by getting pregnant 13 times

It is unclear how many of the pregnancies were carried to full term.

A WOMAN WHO had been sentenced to life imprisonment in China reportedly avoided jail for ten years by getting pregnant – lots of times.

The 39-year-old woman was convicted of corruption charges but was pregnant at the time and the court granted her probation, en.people reports. She then had an abortion.

When the time came for her to surrender to prison she claimed she was pregnant again.

In total she has claimed 14 pregnancies though one was found to be false. It is unknown how many of the woman’s pregnancies were carried full-term.

The Municipal Bureau of Justice recently resubmitted the suggestion to put her in prison and she has since been jailed.
