Here's the average price of a home in Citywest in 2018

The latest data from Daft.ie.

THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Citywest is now just over €260,000, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.

Analysis across all properties on the market in the area in the second quarter of 2018 puts the average list price at €260,988.

This is low by Dublin standards – in the bottom 10 per cent of neighbourhoods across the capital by price, and well below the city and county average of roughly €420,000.

It is on a par with several of the major residential areas in west Dublin: Blanchardstown (€261k), Tallaght (€252k) and Clondalkin (€246k).

At the peak of the Celtic Tiger, average asking prices in Citywest hit an all-time high of €391,912 – before dropping to a low of €158,822 during the recession.

Since then, prices have tended to rise slightly more slowly than in other areas of the capital. The average increase across Dublin since the recession is 77 per cent. In Citywest the equivalent figure is 64 per cent.
