Cocaine and ecstasy seized in €800,000 drug raid

Gardaí also discovered cannabis as they searched a house in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

A LARGE HAUL of cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis was seized yesterday as gardaí raided a house in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

Substantial quantities of the three drugs were discovered at the home in the Rathlodge area. The street value of the seizure is estimated at €800,000, according to Gardaí.

Two men were arrested during the search, both aged in their 30s. They are being questioned at Kells garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

The house was searched as part of an ongoing investigation.
