Gardaí seize cocaine worth €35,000 in wooded area in Laois

There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED a large quantity of cocaine as part of a planned operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Laois area.

Gardaí from Abbeyleix and Portlaoise carried out the operation in a wooded area near Ballinakill, Co Laois yesterday morning.

Cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €35,000 (pending analysis) was seized, along with drug paraphernalia.

There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
