IT’S NOT NEWS that colour has a great affect on our mood, so adding a pop of colour to our home, a place we see every day, is sure to give us a boost. For house hunters who want to work done for them already, we’ve found four homes across the country that reveal a pop of colour as soon as you reach the front door.
From a large detached home in Tipperary town to a cosy semi-detached home in Bray, Co Wicklow, here’s what we’ve found.
A large detached home near Tipperary Town, this four-bedder has a generous floor area of 236 m². Spacious outside too, the house is surrounded by gardens and lawns that have been landscaped and are in good nick. The rooms inside comprise an entrance porch an elegant hallway that leads to a living room, an open plan kitchen with lots of light and then another lounge. No doubt the pink door will catch your eye as you approach the house. Ard Scotia is a unique, pink five-bed that’s five minutes from Tralee town with views over Tralee Bay and the surrounding landscape. Protected by electric gate access and surrounded by a tarmac driveway and gardens, the house is well positioned to get the best of the sun throughout the day. Inside, the hall leads to to the large living area with access to the patio door. The lounge then links to the dining room and then the kitchen with utility room off it.
There are five bedrooms, with the main enjoying its own bathroom and even patio doors to the terrace. There is another family room at the back of the house that steps out into the south facing garden along with a separate bathroom. The grounds are home to a boiler house and a garage.
