Poll: Should children have to make their First Communions in their school uniforms?

What do you think?

COMMUNIONS CAN BE a costly affair.

With pressure and cost increasing, one suggestion to ease the burden is to do away with dresses and suits for eight-year-olds.

The alternative is to have them make the sacrament in their school uniforms. Some schools already do this, while others wear robes for Confirmation.

We’re asking: Should children have to make their First Communions in their school uniforms?

Poll Results:

It should be mandatory (10828)
No (4213)
It should be optional (2572)
I don't know (785)
