WIN: A place at our book clubs for the International Literature Festival Dublin

We’ll be discussing books by Maeve Brennan and Amy Liptrot over complimentary tea and cake.

IF YOU’RE A big reader, you probably love nothing more than a chat about whatever book you’re currently devouring.

Here at TheJournal.ie, we know that our readers love books – and we do too. We even have our own office book club, so we know chatting about books is always good fun.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with the International Literature Festival Dublin (ILF) – which runs from 21 – 29 May – to hold two book clubs.

They’ll be taking place at the Queen of Tarts café on Cow’s Lane in Dublin’s city centre, on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 May from 6pm – 7.30pm.

At the book clubs we’ll have a fun and informal chat about the books over tea and cake. There’s no need to be a literature expert – just bring your thoughts on the book. Plus, the winners get to enjoy complimentary tea and delicious cake during the book club. Nice, right?

We have 24 places – that’s 12 per evening – available at each book club.

That’s where you come in: all of the places are only available for our readers.

And that’s not all – each winner will get a discounted ticket (€6) to the accompanying Amy Liptrot or Maeve Brennan events that same week during the ILF.

  • Winners of the 12 places at this event will also get to avail of a half price (€6) ticket to the accompanying event on Thursday 26 May, when Amy Liptrot and Olivia Laing are interviewed.

On Tuesday 24 May, the book club will be chatting about The Visitor by Maeve Brennan.
