Poll: Should Irish cities introduce congestion charges?

New measures have come into effect in Dublin.

NEW TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS giving priority to buses are in effect in Dublin city today.

The measures will affect the north and south quays and give priority to taxis and buses.

But should councils go further and make car users pay for the use of roads in the city? In London, private cars are charged €12.50 a day if they come within a certain boundary in the city centre.

Should Irish cities do the same?

We’re asking: Should Irish cities introduce congestion charges?

Poll Results:

No (6126)
Yes (2868)
I don't know (381)
