2018 Ford Mustang Convertible, €73,500
Perhaps the most iconic American car ever built, the Ford Mustang Convertible looks much the same as the coupe, apart from the fabric roof. That means it turns heads just as much and looks every bit as cool too, if not cooler. This is the epic 5.0-litre V8 version.
2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet, €60,374
This four-seat luxury convertible is refined and beautifully made with a wonderful fit and finish. The multi-layered fabric roof can open and close in around 19 seconds, and there are some nifty features like a rear wind deflector and special windscreen rail that are designed to make open-top driving as comfortable and quiet as possible.
2015 BMW 2 Series Convertible, €35,900
The BMW 2 Series compact convertible is an almost practical and everyday way to enjoy top-down driving as it has two back seats and a boot that actually has room for more than just one small bag (you might get two small bags in there).
The roof can open and close in around 20 seconds so you can make the most of the sporadic dry Irish weather. This particular model is the 220d in well-specced M Sport trim.
2008 Jaguar XK Series Convertible, €28,950
The Jaguar XK drop-top GT is right up there with the best of them. Its fabric hood retracts quickly to make the most of any sun that does shine – and if it gets cold, this 2008 example also comes with heated seats and dual climate control.
2010 Porsche Boxster, €27,950
The two-door Boxster really is a sweet sports car that feels at home on the race track yet is comfortable enough to use everyday. This particular model is the 2.9 GEN II with Porsche’s sublime PDK transmission. It is powered by a 2.9-litre engine and comes with 17-inch wheels.
