One man released but another still in custody over murders of Coolock men

The bodies of Anthony Keegan and Eoin O’Connor were found at a lake in Cavan last month.

ONE MAN HAS been released without charge after Gardaí arrested two men in connection with a murder investigation yesterday.

The bodies of Eoin O’Connor and Anthony Keegan were found on an island on Lough Sheelin in Co Meath on 26 May.

Gardaí investigating the murders arrested the two men in the Cavan area yesterday morning.

The men are aged in their 20s and 30s. The man is his 20s has been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second man in his 30s is still being questioned at Kells Garda Station.
