Man in court following discovery of 5 kilos of cannabis resin

The 48-year-old will be charged this afternoon.

A MAN IS due to be charged at Cork District Court this afternoon with offences related to a drugs seizure at Ballincollig yesterday.

Five kilos of cannabis resin (with a street value of €30,000) was discovered in the man’s vehicle when it was stopped and searched in the town.

The 48-year-old was arrested and questioned at Gurranabraher garda station.

During a follow-up search in Greenfields, a further €2,500 worth of cannabis and a sum of case were seized.
