Gardaí investigating death of man in Cork in October make Dublin arrest

The 36-year-old died in hospital after being found unconscious on Patrick’s Quay in Cork.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the death of a 36-year-old man who died in Cork in October.

Initially found unconscious on St Patrick’s Quay on Thursday 3 October, the man later died from his injuries in hospital.

Gardaí launched an investigation and a public appeal for information at the time. Officers based at Mayfield Station have been leading the enquiry.

A 27-year-old man was picked up for questioning in connection with the case today.

He was detained in Dublin, and is being held at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
