Man dies after getting into difficulty while diving in Cork

The accident occurred near Cork Harbour.

A MAN HAS died after getting into difficulty while diving near Cork harbour. 

Crosshaven RNLI staff were alerted just after 4pm yesterday evening. 

The man, who was in his 40s, was taken from the water while RNLI staff were preparing to launch the lifeboat. 

The crew began emergency care until Rapid Response and a doctor arrived. 

The man was later pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.
