Cork gardaí appeal for help in identifying man's body

Man’s body was recovered from the River Blackwater yesterday afternoon and has a tattoo marked ‘Rangers’ on the upper right arm.

GARDAÍ IN FERMOY, Co Cork, are appealing for information and assistance in helping them identify a man’s body which was recovered from the River Blackwater yesterday afternoon.

The man is described as being a white male about 5′ 10” in height, of slim build, with black hair going grey and balding at the front. He is thought to be eastern European and aged in his mid-40s to early 50s.

He has a tattoo reading ‘Rangers’ on his upper right arm and is missing the tip of his right index finger. He also has a surgical scar on his abdomen.

He was wearing dark blue Edge brand jeans, Reebok runners and a black T-shirt with the message “Protect Your Nuts” and a picture of a squirrel. He was also wearing a multi-coloured jumper and dark blue Santa Fe hoodie.
