Price Comparison: What can I buy in Cork for under €560K?

From a two-bed in Rochestown to a five-bed in Glanmire.

THIS WEEK WE’RE scouring the rebel county to find out what €560,000, max, will get us in the current climate.

It’s easy to get carried away when it comes to house hunting, but budgeting is more important than ever. If you’re looking to buy in Cork, let us do some of the work for you with these top picks. 

Two-bed, detached, Rochestown – €520,000

Loughmahon View is located on .3 acres and, as you can tell by the name, looks over Lough Mahon which is just a five minute drive from Douglas. Surrounded by gardens and accessed through electric gates, this is a spacious family home that’s close to the city. Inside comprises a hall that leads to a large living room and into a cosy study. Further on down you’ll find a guest toilet, the L-shaped kitchen and the dining room.

There are two large and bright double bedrooms, with dual aspects, upstairs along with the main bathroom. The back garden is has a low maintenance lawn and a paved patio that faces south and is connected to the kitchen. The garden is also home to a handy block-built shed.

Five-bed, detached, Rylane – €430,000

If you’re looking for a nice mix of town and country, check out this roomy 204 m² home in Rylane, an area that’s about a thirty minute drive from Cork city. This house was built in 2005 but has been redecorated and refurbished since. This is a large five bed home with super views of Little Island and Cork Harbour that sits on a peaceful cul de sac.
