Like sun? Like beach parties? There'll be a tonne of new flights from Cork to Ibiza this summer

A NEW TWICE weekly route from Cork to Ibiza starts this summer.

The route, which will operate from June 11 to September 21, will add more than 8,000 seats to the airport’s schedule.

CSA Czech Airlines will run the service.

A hugely popular destination, the Balearic island attracts around six million visitors each year.

As well as offering great beaches, secluded coastlines and the rich, rich heritage of Ibiza town – it’s also, as we all know, a party haven.

According to Cork Airport Managing Director Niall MacCarthy, “of course, it offers the younger holiday maker some of the best nightlife around”.

The Venga Boys, perhaps, make a slightly more compelling case for the place…
