Man (50s) killed in workplace accident at Cork caravan park

Separate Garda and Health and Safety Authority investigations are under way.

A MAN IN his 50s has died following a workplace accident at a caravan park in Co Cork.

It happened shortly after midday today, a Garda spokesperson confirmed.

Emergency services remain at the scene at Fountainstown, where the accident took place.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Separate Garda and Health and Safety Authority investigations are under way.

Fountainstown is a village around 23km south of Cork city.
