Two men appear in court in relation to €83,000 drug seizure

The men were arrested in the Dublin 7 area yesterday.

TWO MEN HAVE appeared in court charged in relation to the seizure of €83,000 worth of cannabis.

The men, aged 40 and 47, were arrested yesterday by officers investigating serious criminal activity in the Dublin region.

Members of the garda national drugs and organised crime bureau, supported by the special crime task force, carried out an operation in the Dublin 7 area yesterday afternoon.

During the operation, a number of people were searched and cannabis with an estimated street value of €83,000 was seized.

The men were being detained at the Bridewell garda station under drug trafficking legislation.

Comments have been turned off as legal proceedings are ongoing.
