Two men charged over fatal stabbing in Cavan

A man in his 40s was killed on Saturday night after a number of men forced their way into his rented apartment.

TWO MEN ARE to be charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Cavan Town last weekend.

Local gardaí said the two accused, both aged in their 30s, will appear before Virginia District Court later this morning.

A man in his 40s was killed at a Connolly Court apartment on James Connolly Street at about 11pm on Saturday. It is understood the victim is a foreign national who had only just arrived in Ireland.
