Two appear in court over €9 million Kildare drug haul

The two men were arrested after a search and arrest operation in Naas yesterday, when cocaine and heroin was found.

TWO MEN have appeared in court in Co Kildare charged in connection with yesterday’s seizure of drugs worth an estimated €9 million.

The two were arrested after a search and arrest operation in Naas yesterday afternoon, during which about 35 kilograms of heroin and cocaine was discovered.

The heroin is estimated to be worth some €3.5 million, while the cocaine is estimated to command a street value of around €5.5 million.

The men had been detained at Naas Garda Station before appearing at Kilcock District Court this afternoon.

Cocaine, cannabis herb and heroin with an estimated street value in excess of €1.25 million was seized in follow-up searches in the Palmerstown and Celbridge areas following yesterday’s Naas raid.
