Man to appear in court tomorrow charged with carjacking and other offences in Tallaght

The man was later arrested by a number of armed gardaí at Citywest shopping centre.

A MAN IS due to appear before Tallaght District Court tomorrow morning, charged with a number of offences related to a number of carjackings on Monday.

Gardaí said that the man – in his 30s – had been charged this evening, before he appears in court tomorrow at 9.30am.

The man was being sought by gardaí in relation to a number of incidents that had taken place in Tallaght on Monday morning.

Later that day, at around 2pm, the man was traced to Citywest Shopping Centre, where he was apprehended by a number of armed gardaí.

A firearm was also recovered at the scene.
