Gardaí renew appeal as they speak to 'three injured parties' after alleged sexual assaults in Wexford

It’s understood the alleged offences in this case include sexual assault.

GARDAÍ IN WEXFORD have renewed their appeal into an alleged incident of serious assault that occurred just after midnight on Saturday evening in the Burrow area of Courtown Harbour in Gorey. 

The three injured parties involved are in the process of being interviewed by a team of specially trained officers, with gardaí saying the investigation is of a “sensitive nature”. 

It’s understood the alleged offences in this case include sexual assault. 

The scene has been fully examined and has now been re-opened.

Investigations remain ongoing, but gardaí said due to the sensitive nature of the probe and the ages of those involved that no further information was currently available. 

An incident room has been established at Gorey Garda Station, and gardaí have thanked all the witnesses who’ve already come forward to provide statements.
