Elderly pedestrian seriously injured in Dublin crash

The 72-year-old man was struck by a car on the Clontarf Road at around 8 o’clock this morning. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

A 72-YEAR-OLD MAN was seriously injured in a crash in Dublin during rush hour this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened on the Clontarf Road close to the seafront.

The pedestrian was hit by a car at around 8am and was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car was not injured in the crash.

Gardaí have asked anyone who saw what happened to contact Clontarf Garda station on 01 – 666 4800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
