Young boy aged 4 injured in five-vehicle crash in Cork

The incident occurred on the N20 at Glencaum, Crenagh.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING serious crash on the Cork to Mallow Road this afternoon.

The gardaí confirmed a number of people were injured, including a female in her 20s and a four-year-old boy.

Their condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

The accident, which involved five-vehicles – a lorry and four cars, occurred on the N20 at Glencaum, Crenagh.

A driver of one of the cars, a female in her 30s, was also serioulsy injured. She was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where her condition is understood to be serious.

A number of emergency vehicles attended the scene.

Gardaí are examining the scene and diversions are in place. Anyone with information is asked to contact Blarney Garda Station on 021-4516290.
