Man (70s) killed when his car collided with a camper van in Donegal

His passenger, and the driver and passenger of the camper van have also been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.

A MAN, BELIEVED to be in his 70s, has died and three other people have been injured in a road traffic collision in Co. Donegal.

The crash, involving a car and a campervan, happened on the N15, Donegal to Ballybofey Road, at Keadue, Barnesmore, Donegal at 3.45pm earlier today.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at Letterkenny General Hospital a short time later.

A female passenger in the car, also in her 70s, was removed to the same hospital with serious injuries.

The male driver and female passenger of the camper van were also taken to Letterkenny General and their condition is not known.

The roadway at the scene of the incident is closed and a garda investigation has begun.
