Motorcyclist seriously injured in overnight crash near Dublin Airport

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 4am.

A MOTORCYCLIST HAS been seriously injured after a crash on a road near Dublin Airport in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the L3132 at around 4am.

The injured man, who is aged in his 30s, has been taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as being in a serious condition.

A stretch of road was closed and local diversions put in place as investigations began.

In a statement, gardaí appealed for witnesses who may have travelled the road at around 4am this morning to contact them at:

  • Ballymun Garda Station – 01 666 4400
  • Via the Garda Confidential Telephone Line – 1800 666 111
  • Or at any Garda Station

The L3132 runs around Dublin Airport to the north-west through the St Margaret’s area. The crash happened near roadworks along the route.
