Front-seat passenger killed as car crashes into wall in Co Meath

The incident happened yesterday morning in the Duleek area of Co Meath.

A MAN HAS been killed in a fatal road traffic collision in Co Meath after the car he was travelling in hit a wall.

The incident happened early yesterday morning at around 7.40am in Garballagh, Duleek, an area around 10km south of Drogheda.

The man was travelling in the front seat. Also in the car were the driver and another back seat passenger.

All three were male and aged in their early 20s.

After the incident the men were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, with the front seat passenger being pronounced dead last night.

The other two men sustained minor injuries.

Gardaí in Laytown are now investigating and are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on 0419813320 or on the Garda Confidential Line of 1800 666 111.
