Motorcyclist in his 20s killed in Tipperary crash

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash involving a car and a motorbike this afternoon.

A MAN IN his 20s has died after the motorbike he was driving was involved in a collision with a car in Tipperary this afternoon.

The accident happened on the Portumna Road near Killeen outside Borrisokane in Tipperary at around 12.30pm today.

The man was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are currently carrying out a forensic investigation of the scene and the stretch of road remains closed. Diversions are in place in the area.
