Man dies in single-car crash in the Dublin Mountains

The crash happened on Red House Road in Glencullen.

A MAN IN his 50s has died following a single-car crash in the Glencullen area of the Dublin Mountains last evening.

It happened at Red House Road at around 7.45pm.

A 57-year-old male was fatally injured when his car hit a fence. He was the only occupant.

The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road was closed by gardaí ahead of forensic examinations, and local diversions were put in place.

Any witnesses are being asked to contact Dundrum Garda Station on 01 666 5600.
