62-year-old man dies in Kildare crash with truck

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

A 62-YEAR-OLD MAN has died after the car he was driving crashed with a truck in Kildare.

It happened at Kilmurray, Johnstown Bridge at around 2.45 this afternoon.

The 66-year-old driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Blanchardstown Hospital.

The deceased man was removed to Naas hospital mortuary.

The road is currently closed to facilitate garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those travelling from Johnstown Bridge to Kilshanroe this afternoon, to contact them at Kilcock Garda Station on 01 – 6757390, the garda confidential line on 1800 666111 or any garda station.
