The truck was left dangling off the edge of a pier.

A MAN HAS died in Scotland after he was crushed against a wall while attempting to stop his bin truck from rolling out of a car park.

The incident took place at South Queensferry in Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

The Scotsman reports that the 58-year-old was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries.

Sergeant Brian Smith from Police Scotland described the incident as a “tragic accident”.

He said the man was attempting to stop the lorry as it rolled out of a car park, but was crushed against a wall.

The vehicle continued to hit a Jaguar car and a bench before it stopped, hanging over the edge of a pier.

Smith added that it was fortunate that no one else was injured.
