Cyclist seriously injured after collision with bus in Blessington this evening

As of 10pm this evening, the male cyclist was still at the scene.

A CYCLIST IS said to have been seriously injured in Blessington this evening, when his bike was involved in a collision with a bus.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that the incident occurred just before 8pm this evening.

As of around 10pm, the cyclist was still kept at the scene of the crash.

Gardaí said his injuries are described as serious.

The N81 Baltinglass Road was closed both southbound and northbound just south of Blessington following the collision earlier this evening.
