Cyclist dies after collision with a car in Meath

The collision occurred yesterday evening with the male cyclist later dying in hospital.

A CYCLIST HAS died after colliding with a car near Drumconrath in Co Meath yesterday evening.

The 55-year-old man was on his bike when it collided with the car at Balrath, one kilometre outside Drumconrath, at around 5pm yesterday evening.

He was removed to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan where he was later pronounced dead.

The sole occupant of the car was not injured in the collision.

Gardaí say that the scene was being examined by forensic collision investigators yesterday evening and the road has since reopened.
