Appeal for witnesses after cyclist critically injured in north Dublin

The crash took place on the Malahide Road.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for witnesses after a cyclist was critically injured in north Dublin.

A 45-year-old woman was struck by a silver Opel Astra at the junction between Malahide Road and Greencastle Road in Coolock at around 6.45pm this evening.

The woman has been rushed to Beaumont hospital by emergency services, where her condition is described as critical.

The driver of the car (early 60s) was uninjured.

Witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Coolock Garda Station on 01-666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda Station.
