Cyclist (60s) seriously injured following road traffic incident in Tralee

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A MAN IN his 60s is understood to be seriously injured following a road traffic incident in Tralee, Co Kerry, in the early hours of the morning. 

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

At approximately 12:45 am, emergency services were alerted after a cyclist was found unresponsive on the roadside at Bracker O’Regan Road, Tralee.

The cyclist was riding an electric bike at the time of the incident. He received treatment at the scene before being transported by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry.

A technical examination of the scene has been carried and the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. They are also seeking any camera footage, including dashcam video from those traveling in the area at the time, to assist with the investigation.
