Cyclist killed in Cork road crash

The 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene at Bishopstown yesterday evening.

A 50-YEAR-OLD woman has died following a fatal road crash in Cork yesterday evening.

The woman was cycling on the Bandon Road at Bishopstown when she was struck by a car at about 5pm. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem exam.

Gardaí in Togher are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at the station on 021 494 7120 or the Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
