Fresh appeal for cyclist killed in Kerry road collision

Nineteen-year-old Shane Courtney died after being struck by a car in Fossa.

THE TEENAGER WHO died after he was struck by a car while cycling in Co. Kerry has been named this afternoon.

Gardaí have named the 19-year-old as Shane Courtney from Faha, Killarney in Co Kerry.

Courtney was involved in a collision on the  L103 at Fossa, a village outside Killarney, at around 9.15pm yesterday evening.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí have this afternoon issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to contact them at Killarney Garda station on 064 6671160.
