Cyclist killed in Waterford crash

The man was involved in a collision with the vehicle near Stradbally just after 7pm last night.

A 32-YEAR-OLD cyclist was killed last night after he was struck by a car.

The man was involved in a collision with the vehicle in Waterford just after 7pm last night.

Gardaí say that the incident happened at Ballyvoile, near Stradbally.

They say that nobody else was injured and the road was closed subject to a forensic analysis.

The cyclist was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where he was pronounced dead.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Kilmacthomas Garda Station on 051- 295630 the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
