• Police in London are searching for a man who approached a mother collecting her children from school and threw acid on her, causing her to be hospitalised with serious burns.
• Troops in Syria are beginning a “gradual withdrawal”, 11 days after the embattled president unleashed tanks and snipers to crush dissent in the city.
• Househunting? Well, SS officer Hermann Goertz plotted German invasion of Ireland from this comfortable south Dublin villa – and it’s all yours for just over a million euro.
