Dart delays after truck strikes bridge in Dublin city

Irish rail said services have resumed, but there are delays of 20 minutes on all Dart and Northern commuter services.

DART SERVICES ARE delayed this morning after a truck struck a bridge on Dublin’s Amiens Street.

Rail lines were closed between Connolly and Tara Street stations for a short time but have now repoened. Irish Rail said services have resumed, but there are delays of 20 minutes on all Dart and Northern commuter services.

The company said these delays should ease going forward.

Last month Irish Rail launched a campaign targeting truck drivers, telling them to “wise up”, as there have been 68 bridge strikes this year. The Dart has seen the largest increase in the number of collisions, with 25 taking place already this year.
