Investigation after death of man in 40s who collapsed on Dublin street

It happened during rush hour in the IFSC last Thursday evening.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for information after a man in his 40s collapsed and died on a street in the IFSC area of Dublin this week.

It happened during rush hour last Thursday evening.

According to a spokesperson:

“At approximately 5.40pm a man in his early 40s collapsed outside a building on Guild Street, Dublin 1 onto the roadway and was helped back onto the footpath, where passersby assisted him and rendered first aid and CPR.”

The man was brought to the nearby Mater Hospital but later died.

A post mortem is yet to be carried out.

Gardaí want anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.

A similar appeal was issued after a man in his 30s collapsed and died on nearby Westland Row last Sunday.
