TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after a 14-year-old boy was raped in the toilets of a department store in Manchester.
The men, aged 55 and 41 are in police custody.
The boy was approached by two men at around 5.45pm on Saturday 2 June in the toilets of the Arndale Centre.
One of the men said to the boy:
Come with us, do what we say and if you try to run we’ll get you.
The men then led the boy out of the Arndale Centre and into Debenhams department store. He was taken by lift to an upstairs toilet where he was raped.
Two other men who were arrested on 23 August were bailed pending further inquiries.
Earlier this week police released images of two possible suspects, to which they said there was an overwhelming response.

These men have made the decision to carry out this disgraceful act in broad daylight in the knowledge that they will more than likely be caught. Is this not a damning indictment of any justice system whereby the perpetrators of such a crime are happy enough to deal with the consequences, while the victim’s life is destroyed.
If there were harsher punishments for people like these, maybe they would think twice about committing the crime.
There are ‘civilised’ ways of making the remainder of these people’s natural lives a misery such as solitary confinement or alternatively methods such as those used in Guantanamo bay.
As things stand, there is no justice. There is only the justice system.

They level of coverage this story is getting and the reaction are both totally disproportionate to the coverage/reaction in female rape cases. In both instance the lives are destroyed and there is some monster behind the sick act yet there seems to be more of an outpouring for male victims. just an observation
while I totally agree with you, the number of victims of male rape who come forward are still so small, I think the fact this boy came forward he obviously has the support from his family. But I think other female victims of rape would agree the damage that this kind of violation has on a male has the potential to be worse it would make them question their sexuality their masculinity. In saying all that the inner circle of hell are reserved for rapists and child molesters or if you believe in reincarnation slugs I think they’d return as slugs.

If you’ve finished getting your jollies from treating this case as torture porn and indulging yourself in graphic fantasies of what you’d do to these two criminals, take a step back and look at how what you’re doing is similar in intention ( albeit not in severity ). You’re deriving pleasure and giving yourselves a nice warm glow from the idea of inflicting pain and humiliation. Irrespective of the reasons why they should be punished, and of course they should, you’re all kidding yourself if you claim this is about justice and order. 2 things first of all the red thumbers are either bleeding heart liberals or even paedophiles themselves .
Secondly I was at a function last week where there were lots of kids as well as adults, when I went into the loo I noticed a friend of mine was standing and waiting out the bathroom door, when I asked him what’s up he told me that his 10 yr old son was in the cubicle and he wasn’t taking any chances with his safety, I just laughed because I thought at the time that he was mad , after reading this story I am now not so sure he was being over protective just sensible. As for those 2 sickos I would be banned if I said what I think should happen to the bastards.
The problem with castration is that in cases where it has been used, either physical or chemical, they will just use an implement as a substitute if/when they reoffend. And are often more prone to use violence on top of that.
