Irish Book Award nominee Deirdre Sullivan talks fairy tales and fighting procrastination

TANGLEWEED AND BRINE, the latest book by young adult author Deirdre Sullivan, has been nominated for the 2017 Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards.

The book of retold fairy tales is nominated in the TheJournal.ie Best Irish Published Book of the Year 2017 category in the awards.

We talked to her about the awards, the process of writing, and what readers can expect from this latest book.

The public can cast your votes for the Irish Books Awards until midday on Thursday 23 November here, and the winners will be announced at the gala ceremony in The Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road on Tuesday, 28th November.
