Broken down train causes knock-on delays on Heuston line

Commuters were experiencing delays of up to 50 minutes.

PEOPLE TRAVELLING VIA Heuston train station in Dublin this evening experienced delays of up to 50 minutes for their journeys.

The delays were due to the 5pm Heuston-Cork train breaking down at Inchicore.

At 6.20pm this evening Irish Rail said trains were departing with 5-20 minute delays, though it added these would ease throughout the evening. Services from Tralee were still experiencing 50 minute delays.
