Department issues appeal for Irish citizens in Libya

THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS has confirmed that its emergency civil assistance team has arrived at Tripoli International Airport. They are now working to locate Irish citizens in the airport and around Tripoli ahead of their evacuation. The DFA is appealing to anyone with information regarding the location of Irish citizens in Libya and who has not already contacted the department to call them on 01 4180222. The department said it is “continuing to use all options available to it to assist in getting all Irish nationals out of Libya”.
