Derry streets evacuated after bomb warning

A telephone warning has led to the closure of two busy city streets.

TWO STREETS IN Derry have been closed, as well as a number of premises evacuated, after a bomb warning.

Shipquay Street and Shipquay Place  have been closed by police following a telephone warning of a bomb.

Officers are conducting a search and have evacuated a number of premises in the busy area.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and police have asked anyone noticing any suspicious objects to contact them immediately in Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
