Des Bishop tour to continue on Friday

Comedian says the show will go on, in accordance with his father’s wishes.

DES BISHOP HAS CONFIRMED he will continue his national tour of the My Dad Was Nearly James Bond show as planned on 11 February.

The comedian will present his show that evening at the Town Hall in Galway as scheduled, according to a spokesperson.

Bishop’s father Michael Bishop, who inspired the comedian’s current show, passed away last week. He had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November 2009.

Des said that “the show must go on and I’m committed to finishing the tour as is my Dad’s wish”.

All postponed dates will be rescheduled and ticket holders are asked to contact venues directly for further information on the rescheduled shows.
